Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Q. A new piano is better than a pre-owned or vintage, right? A. Certainly, a new Yamaha, Kawai, Young Chang, or( if you can afford one) a Steinway & Sons, are great pianos. However, upright pianos by these brands can range from $4,000-10,000+ and grand pianos from $9,000 to $50,000 and up for a Steinway. Restored pianos can often give you much more instrument for your money.Q. But what about a warranty? A. Pianos which have been reconditioned and restored will last for decades with proper care. Pianos wear as all things do with use. Unlike cars, which are outside most of their life, pianos if kept in a good climate ( not too dry or humid) can last over 100 years. ( my 1892 Steinway upright is a good example!) All High Note pianos carry a full 3 year warranty. Q. Is moving included in the price? A. In most cases, particularly with small spinet and upright pianos, the delivery cost for first floor, accessible moves in the greater Clinton area will be included. Moves which involve large pianos, long distances, stairs and access problems can be negotiated. High Note Piano uses MegaMan Movers. Q. What if we are interested in one of your un-restored pianos in your inventory..how does that work? A. High Note has a large inventory of vintage pianos of all sizes, colors and brands available. Our clients can choose their piano and we will restore it to their liking. Call for more details….978-368-1899.
